All of the Real Estate CE Classes described below have been approved by the Real Estate Commission for 4 hours of Continuing Education (CE) credit. This is the Commission's continuing education baby; born every year on July 1st; it matures throughout the license year, then it dies on June 10th, never to be resurrected.
If you are Provisionally licensed, or a full Broker, "you gotta see the [Genup]" each year following your first renewal to maintain your license.
Take your class live online via Zoom and That's My Instructor at any point - from fresh and bouncy to old and crotchety.
BIC/Eligible brokers: Take the BICUP instead.

This is the Commission's continuing education Update course just for BIC Eligible Brokers. Like the Genup, it is born every year on July 1st; it matures throughout the license year, then it dies on June 10th, never to be resurrected.
For all BIC/BIC Eligible brokers, this is the Update that you must take to maintain your BIC/Eligible status.
If you take this course without BIC Eligibility, it will give you Update credit. However, to become BIC Eligible, brokers must apply at ncrec.gov .

This is THE elective for REALTORS who need to meet their Ethics and Fair Housing requirements for the 2025-2028 cycle. This 4.5 hour elective class is the ORIGINAL NC Elective class written to get your Elective credits at the Real Estate Commission, AND meet the requirements for NAR's current fair housing and code of ethics cycles, too. This is the one that manages to make it - dare I say - fun?! Come get it all done in one and leave with more knowledge than you came with!

Provisionally Licensed brokers must complete all three of these real estate classes in any order within 18 months of the date on the real estate license. Brokers who have been INACTIVE for more than 2 years AND who have missed a single continuing education course will also probably need to take two of these real estate licensing classes to reactivate.

One of three Commission required real estate classes, this course dives deep into the world of agency to ensure you understand how to practice brokerage legally by properly addressing agency disclosure, and the process of representing a buyer or seller including completing the standard agency forms. There’s even a little property management thrown in for good measure.

Of the Commission's required Real Estate Classes, this is the course where you really get to understand the 2T and all related addenda as they are currently written and produced by the Standard Forms Committee. This is also the class that addresses the creation and interpretation of the RESPA required borrower’s Closing Disclosure, including prorating taxes, rents and dues.
